2005 Season

This season was not going to be exactly what I hoped for , but I made to 2.nd place in the Norwegian Drag Racing Championship in the Bracket class.

I was only 1 single point away from shairng the first place in the championship this year , so it is correct to call it a close race indeed ! ONE point is just a qualification point so this was frustrating. The engine failed to work as projected , mostly due to the damage in the supercharger which only got worse all the time. The supercharger rotors got in contact with the housing in 2004 , caused by faulty leveling of the housing on the factory. I decked it here in a toolshop , but the damage could not be fixed , so the rotors are damaged. This causes the supercharger to heat up , and this again causes detonation , which forced me to drive it on lower rate. It was then very difficult to get the dial-in correct , as we never knew how the car went on a hot day. All in all , I have to be pleased with it , as this is my first engine build. Next year (2006) I will try to make a much better setup !
